Hewitt Oaks is Hiring a Beverage Manager (FT) Near Bluffton, SC

Specific Responsibilities:
This role will include the following aspects, with even more as you grow into your role:
  • Setting up all bars for events- ensure all furniture/decor is in place, all glassware, beverages, garnishes, and mixing signature drinks. All bars for each event will be your responsibility.
  • Bartending during events- working with the team to make sure the client's experience is exceptional with sincere, motivated, warm, and professional service. Abiding by all of the company’s liquor license rules and regulations and having the situational awareness to ensure guests are responsibly served. 
  • Cleaning up after the event - tearing down and cleaning up, as well as getting everything back in its proper place is really extraordinary!
  • Beverage inventory management- you will be responsible for maintaining accurate counts of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Synchronizing with event planners to ensure that they have what they need for each event. This will include all beverage ordering and consumption tracking. This will include the establishment and tracking of a periodic automatic replenishment (PAR) inventory for all of our commonly used mixers/sodas and bar materials.
General Responsibilities:
  • You are a make-it-happen kind of person that enjoys serving others and working with a small team to assist with incredible events. You are positive, hands-on, & a go-getter.
  • You are expected to attend the scheduled meetings throughout the week. You will be expected to understand all tasks assigned to you and be efficient in your work. 
  • You will check out daily with your supervisor before departing and provide an update on any assigned tasks. Some days you will be required to work until the task is complete, even if it is beyond your scheduled shift time.
  • Upkeep of the venue and property is essential in your role. You will be expected to return all inventory to its correct location after use. The responsibility is on the entire staff to ensure our property always looks pristine- this means picking up trash, cleaning up messes, and reporting any major issues that you may see.
  • Your role involves cleaning dishes and glassware in the Dish Pit. 
  • serving others is a joy to you. You love working in a supportive role that helps the clients have an incredible experience. You are the DOER, a hands-on, kind of person that likes things to be done well, and with heart.
  • you are able to lift up to 50lbs, physically able to work hard while looking and acting professional and climb a ladder to help hang pretties on chandeliers, trees, & lights. 
  • you are dependable, loyal, and driven by growth opportunities. You want to be the best at whatever you put your mind to, and serving others is one of your superpowers.
  • you are completely cool with working nights and weekends as in the event business, we are almost always working Fridays and Saturdays. Your schedule will rotate based on the event calendar- this may mean working longer shifts and fewer days in a particular week.
